I make icons for my generation – in that we are psychologically complicated, troubled, ashamed, and insecure. We struggle to find the sobriety and courage to turn our true faces to God in faith. The Church’s icons are here to help us in this struggle.

On solid quarter-sawn poplar panel with raised border and oak battens, primed with traditional linen and gesso ground. Completed in 2022.

This composition in which the Mother of God holds Jesus Christ within a mandorla is traditionally referred to as the “Of The Sign” type. On solid quarter-sawn poplar panel with raised border and oak battens, primed with traditional linen and gesso ground. Completed in 2021.
